Do I need a GP referral to book?
No. WMG Health offers direct-access testing, you can book online or by phone without any referral. Our clinicians will review your results and flag anything requiring follow-up.
How long do results take?
Turnaround varies by panel. The General Wellness panel returns within 2 hours of your appointment. Most hair, pre-transplant, and hormone panels return within 4 hours. The Testosterone Panel and the DHT/androgen component of the hormone panels return within 24 hours. The BBV Screen has a standard 2 working day turnaround with an urgent 2-hour option on request. The Scarring Alopecia histopathology report takes 7 days. You'll be notified by email as soon as your results are ready in your patient portal.
Are your results clinically reviewed?
Yes. Every set of results is reviewed and annotated by a GMC-registered doctor before delivery. You receive a clear report with context, not just raw numbers.
What happens if something is flagged?
If any marker falls outside the normal range, our team will contact you directly with clear guidance on next steps. For hair loss and pre-transplant patients, a follow-up consultation with our hair specialists can be arranged the same day. For findings outside hair health, we recommend taking the results to your GP or relevant specialist.
