Testosterone Panel
What's in the Testosterone Panel
A focused testosterone panel covering total testosterone, free testosterone and DHT. Drawn 7 to 11 AM after an overnight fast as per BSSM testosterone deficiency guidance, and clinically reviewed.
£199
About this panel
When the question is specifically about testosterone, this panel measures total testosterone and free testosterone (the markers BSSM uses for the testosterone deficiency work-up), plus DHT as the active downstream androgen. Suitable for symptom investigation or TRT monitoring; BSSM also requires a second confirmatory sample on a separate morning before a diagnosis is made.
Who this panel is for
- You're investigating symptoms of low testosterone
- You're on TRT and need monitoring blood work
- You want a focused androgen panel before considering treatment
What's measured
Every biomarker is measured by a UKAS-accredited laboratory and interpreted by a GMC-registered doctor in the context of your overall results.
DHT (dihydrotestosterone)
Active downstream androgen
Total testosterone
Standard androgen reading
Free testosterone
Unbound testosterone fraction; combined with SHBG and albumin, gives the bioavailable picture

£199 · Results are released as each marker is reviewed, rather than held back until the whole panel is complete. Most markers return within about 3 to 5 working days. The androgen markers are the slower ones on this panel, so they set the completion date rather than the routine markers. We confirm the expected timeframe at booking
